classical Ballet Excellence program

Find out more about our classical ballet excellence program launching in 2023.

This program is suitable for students looking to excel in their classical ballet pursuits.  This program is designed for the student who loves all things ballet and would rise to the challenge of more technical training. This program is suitable for the following groups:

• Students from 10 years of age learning classical ballet
• Students currently completing a dance vocational training course at Radiance Academy
• Students who have completed a vocational training course at Radiance Academy 

This program includes the following opportunities for the students:

• Qld Ballet Education and Engagement Team Teaching Artist intensive workshops each term
• 2 x Syllabus classes each week
• Pre-pointe or pointe training weekly
• Progressing Ballet Technique and Conditioning training weekly Saturday 1:15 - 1:45pm
• Open classical ballet training classes weekly:  Junior Excellence Program Saturday 10:00 - 11:00am
• Open classical ballet training classes weekly:  Advanced Excellence Program Saturday 1.45PM - 2.45PM (Age 13+)

The syllabus and pre-pointe/pointe classes will be spaced out in the week outside of school hours depending on the technical level of the student attending.  

• Qld Ballet workshops at Radiance Academy Toowoomba 11:00am to 2:30pm
• • Term 1                25 February
  • Term 2               22 April
  • Term 3               12 August
  • Term 4               14 October
• Open classical Ballet Saturdays weekly
• Progressing Ballet Technique and Conditioning training on Saturdays

• 1 x Program exclusive classical ballet uniform provided at no extra cost (additional uniforms to be purchased as required)
• All Vocational students are automatically included in the Saturday program. 

Radiance Academy Toowoomba studios

We are creating a pathway for classical ballet students to step towards pre-vocational and vocational dance training in Toowoomba.  

Students are then able to separately add additional classes including

• Contemporary dance
• Performance team
• Jazz 
• Tap
• Hip hop
• Acrobatics
• Musical Theatre

Costs can be paid upfront each term or monthly via auto-pay.  

• $450/term or
• $180/month February through to November inclusive
• No additional charge for vocational students to attend
• Costume hire fees may apply for syllabus classes
